The hotel is located in the Estrela neighborhood, an upscale district of Lisbon, famous for its garden and Cathedral (which are 500m away) . The hotel has 15 rooms and 4 suites and its located in the former palace of the Counts of Paraty, one of Portugal’s leading aristocratic families. This palace used to have an estate that encompassed the entire neighborhood, thus our option of calling it “Hotel da Estrela”. It was decorated by Miguel Câncio Martins, Portugal’s leading interior designer. The theme of the hotel will be one that evokes the school atmosphere of days gone bay, with vintage furniture from schools blended with contemporary furniture. We will have two “Hastens” suites, with beds from this Swedish manufacturer, which are considered the best in the world. The hotel has a restaurant called “Cantina da Estrela”, where we will offer a contemporary Portuguese cuisine. From the top floors the hotel boasts impressive views of the city and the river Tejo. It is in the center of the city, very close to the main touristic destinations and to the river. 10 minutes away by taxi guests will reach either the downtown area, the nightlife district, the Belem heritage area, Chiado, the business district and the most important shopping streets.
